Turkey:In January 2010, the overall unit value indices increased; The export volume index decreased

InJanuary 2010, the overall  unit value indices increased

 

In January 2010, according to foreign trade indices, with the 2003 base year, produced bythe provisional foreign trade data, compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year,   the overall export and import unitvalue  indices increased  by 7,3%, 6,7% respectively. 

 

In the same month, compared to January  2009, whilethe export unit value index for agricultureand forestry, mining, manufacturing increased by 7,2%, 11,2%, 7,4%respectively,  the index for fishery decreased by 18,4%.

 

In January 2010, the import unit value index for agriculture and forestry, mining,manufacturing increased by  5,8%, 0,3%,7,2% respectively, as compared with the corresponding month of thepreceding year.

 

 

The export volumeindex decreased.

 

In January 2010, while the overall export volume indexdecreased by 7,1%, the overall import volume index increased by 16,2%, comparedto the corresponding month of the preceding year.

 

In the same month, by the corresponding month of thepreceding year, while the export volume index for mining increased by 34,8%, the index for agriculture and forestry, fishing, manufacturing decreased by 3,5%, 57,4%,8,1%  respectively.

 

While the import volume indexfor mining decreased by 2,5%, the index for agriculture and forestry, manufacturing increased by 25,6%, 21,9%respectively, in January 2010, compared to January 2009.
