Albania: Task Force on deepening health care reform discuss creation of a nationwide emergency system

Prime Minister Sali Berisha chaired, on Tuesday,  the routine meeting of the Task Force on deepening of health care reform. At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Health  


Petrit Vasili presented an action plan carrying topics like: digitalization and informatization of the health care system, a major priority which will pave the way to offering quality services to all the citizens through eradicating informality in the health system, through fighting corruption and bringing the services closer to the citizen; the calculation of costs in the hospital medical care in accordance with the Council of Ministers decision- approved by the government some time ago; the observe and strengthening of the Reference System; the constant education of the health workers; accreditation of the health institutions etc.  

Further on, it was dealt with the emergency service on which depends the prognosis of the disease, the progress and invalidity of the patient, it was set the task of determining concrete steps for the implementation of the emergency strategy as soon as possible, i.e. the creation of nationwide emergency system, unified and in accordance with the high quality standards.

At the end of the meeting, it was discussed on taking into consideration the measures and the immediate concrete solutions, mid-term and long-term for fight against corruption in every chain of the health system. PM Berisha reiterated that there is no other way except for the deep reform so that the health care system can separate itself once and for all from corruption, it modernizes and approaches to the most successful standards and models.
